WRDA 2026 Requests
The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works is beginning its work on the 2026 Water Resources Development Act. This biennial bill is the primary authorizing legislation for civil works studies, projects and programs carried out by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works and this year the bill will also include water infrastructure programs at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. With the Senator’s legacy of leadership on water infrastructure and the critical work that the Corps and EPA do in the State of Illinois and the Nation, she looks forward to engaging with Committee staff to ensure that this Bill continues to deliver strong investments and policy to our waterways and infrastructure.
If you have any requests for the Water Resources Development Act, please submit them to the Senator for consideration through our submissions page below. Please note, each individual priority should be submitted separately. This is a very tight turn around this year and submissions will be accepted by our office until COB Monday, January 26, 2026.
