Flag Requests

Each year, the Architect of the Capitol fulfills on average more than 100,000 requests from Members of Congress to fly flags over the U.S. Capitol. Flags are flown on special flag poles, and after being flown, each flag is issued a keepsake Certificate of Authenticity by the Architect of the Capitol.

To submit a request through my office, please complete a flag order online or by mail by clicking on the respective buttons below. Flag requests must be submitted at least three business days in advance of your requested fly date. Flags are flown daily year-round, weather permitting, excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
