$500,000 Duckworth-secured federal funding for Alton

The $500,000 secured for the City of Alton and AltonWorks by Senator Duckworth will be used for implementation of Phase 1 of the Alton Great Streets project that seeks to improve downtown to promote economic develop and growth. The Great Streets program includes four interrelated and catalytic activation projects to address persistent poverty, create economic equity and capitalize on existing state and local investments into the region.
