[WESTMONT, IL] – U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth today commemorated National Manufacturing Day 2021 during a tour of MedGyn’s new manufacturing facility in Westmont, Illinois. During her visit to the women’s medical device company, Duckworth also participated in a roundtable with several manufacturing industry leaders including MedGyn CEO and Founder Lakshman Agadi, MedGyn COO Aarathi Singh and Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center President Dave Boulay. Photos from today’s tour and meeting are available here.

“Manufacturers are critical players in our state’s economy and workforce and I’m glad I was able to commemorate National Manufacturing Day 2021 today alongside hardworking Americans at MedGyn,” Duckworth said. “I’ll keep doing what I can to help provide much-needed support to the manufacturing industry from the federal level.”

In February, Duckworth helped introduce the bipartisan Public Health Emergency (PHE) Production Act to strengthen the national response to pandemics by modernizing the production of critical medical supplies for frontline healthcare providers.
