Duckworth Highlights Importance of Small Business Development with Local Leaders in Hillside, Illinois

HILLSIDE, IL - Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) met with State Representative Emanuel "Chris" Welch, Cook County Recorder Karen Yarbrough and Hillside Mayor Joseph Tamburino at Priscilla's Ultimate Soulfood Cafeteria in Hillside, Illinois, to discuss the needs of hardworking families in the Chicagoland area and the importance of advancing small business development across the state. A photo of today's visit to Hillside is available here.

"If we want to create new economic opportunities for working families, we are going to need to make it easier for local businesses to get off the ground," said Senator Duckworth. "I'm proud to serve on the Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship because it helps me advocate for the kinds of investments that help small businesses like Priscilla's around Chicagoland grow and create more jobs. I enjoyed talking to State Representative Welch, Recorder Yarbrough and Mayor Tamburino today to discuss our efforts to support these businesses and all hardworking families."
