Duckworth Discusses Illinois Priorities with Champaign County First Coalition

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) today met with the Champaign County First Coalition to discuss current projects and initiatives that would improve quality of life for residents of Champaign County and spur economic development in the region. During the meeting, Duckworth also discussed her work to deliver federal infrastructure and job investments to central Illinois, including investments through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and she also reiterated her commitment to continue supporting the region as it works to complete planned initiatives like highway and rail infrastructure projects. A photo of the meeting can be found on Senator Duckworth’s website.

“We have seen how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is fixing roads and bridges across our state, creating new career opportunities and more,” said Duckworth. “Illinois will continue to feel the impacts of this law through safer roads, cleaner drinking water and additional good-paying jobs for years to come. I was glad to have this opportunity to discuss these benefits and more with Champaign County leaders today, and I look forward to continuing to support Central Illinois and building on the progress we’ve made to help local economies grow and thrive.”
