$450,000 Duckworth-secured federal funding for addressing food insecurity

Senator Duckworth secured $450,000 in federal funding through a FY23 Congressionally Directed Spending Request for Greater Chicago Food Depository. This funding will support Project Nourish and its work to expand capacity to provide nutritious prepared meals for people at increased risk of hunger, while also creating jobs and economic impact for populations and communities that have been historically impacted by inequity and disinvestment.
