$438,000 Duckworth-secured federal funding for the Mt. Carroll STEAAM Hub

Senator Duckworth secured $438,000 in federal funding through a FY23 Congressionally Directed Spending Request for the University of Illinois's Mt. Carroll STEAAM Hub. In partnership with the West Carroll School District, the University of Illinois Extension will develop a STEAM hub in Mount Carroll, Illinois. This STEAM Hub project will include computers, digital and 3-D printers, sewing machines and art supplies for classroom instruction and after-school learning. This project funding will contribute to renovating existing space, the purchasing of new hardware, software and tech equipment and the supplies necessary to operate the facility.
