$300,000 Duckworth-secured federal funding for education career preparations

Senator Duckworth secured $300,000 in federal funding through a FY24 Congressionally Directed Spending Request for to Rockford Public Schools. This project will help fund an initiative between Rockford public schools and Rockford University to allow high school students interested in pursuing a career in education to transition to a teacher prep program through Rockford University.
