$250,000 Duckworth-secured federal funding for Best Buddies Illinois Inclusion Project

Senator Duckworth secured $250,000 in federal funding through a FY24 Congressionally Directed Spending Request for Best Buddies International, Inc. This project will help fund the Best Buddies in Illinois Inclusion Project for Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to create more inclusive school communities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships, inclusive activities and leadership training.
